I always love the truly artistic layouts by DSP member Goshiki. She has a wonderful knack of blending photos and papers and elements to make pieces of art.

This layout is no exception – I love how she’s blended the bamboo element into the bottom of the layout here and her framing of the stone lamp making it the focal point is so beautifully done.

Here are a couple more photos from my trip to The Chicago Botanic Garden in October. I loved the pattern of the giant boulders in the water and I have always been a fan of japanese lanterns. I have a couple in my backyard, but nothing like the scale of this giant granite lantern; it was taller than me. I simplified the colors of my photos to go along with the theme of pure form.

Pick of the Pack - Sunset Fishing by SailingSue

 

I love taking bird photos so I’m always drawn to bird layouts. Sue is a master at bird photography and her bird layouts are always superb and this is just another wonderful example .

I love the sunset colours in this and how shes blended the large photo – what a great catch the heron made with that fish and what a super capture by Sue!!

Yesterday was a great day for bird photos and the sunset was just gorgeous. I was lucky to get this shot of the Great Blue Heron fishing and actually catching a big fish. Lauren's kit had the perfect BG papers and elements to coordinate with the colors in the photos and the LO just came together so easily. A very easy to use kit.
