My Pick of the Pack today is a 2 page layout by Terryl - This layout is just amazing - from the incredible photo taken by her daughter to the story and the journalling on the second page - I love it and Im sure you will too

This is one of a series of layouts I’m creating with photos that my oldest daughter Nikki took of my younger daughter Kira as a fantasy character named Adella Boudreaux. She was inspired by the steampunk style, and I was surprised and delighted when I saw all the steampunk kits making their way into the shop! I just had to ask Nikki if I could scrap the photos and she said that I could. Page 1 is the first layout, and Page 2 is the back story Nikki wrote to go along with the photos and give them some direction. I plan to scrap at least six more pages of her wonderful photos to go along with these two when I get the time.

Pick of the Pack July 1st

I adore this most gorgeous and elegant layout by Scrapping4him . What a super photo to start with and wonderfully she has clustered the elements. I also love the lace used as a page frame .

I came home from a trip this past weekend to visit family back in Ohio with a suitcase packed full of old family photos to scan and scrap. I'm so excited!!! Lauren's Simple Memories kit was perfect for scrapping my grandmother's high school graduation photo. I love that handmade paper with the fibers and color variations - beautiful!!!

LO Notes:
1) I blended 3 papers for my background, in order from top down: handmadepaper set to hard light blend mode; then the fadedtext paper set to hue blend mode; finally oldwallpaper left as is
2) I used the gold lace to create a border for my page and duplicated it for a bit more depth
3) I set the font for my grandmother's name to a soft light blend mode at 70% opacity
4) I warmed up the photo a tad using a tinted B&W adj layer
5) I set the wordart to a soft light blend mode at 80% opacity

Speed Scrap Layout

Heres the layout I did for todays Speedscrap. Each week we meet in the DSP chat room and have an hour or so to complete a layout based on a piece of inspiration - might be a piece of art, or an advert or like today - a movie poster.

Anyway there are no real rules - its pretty much a free for all do what you like type of event and its nice to let go of the perfectionism for once to get a layout done fast.
The photos in this layout are from my last trip to San Francisco for the Adobe Crop - and a year later most of my photos still arent scrapped so its great to actually get a layout done with them before I visit again!!!!

I decided to make my project 365 into books - in 6 parts - with 2 months per book - Ive ordered my first book from Artscow.com  - 32 pages for $12.49 ( with a discount coupon) - really cant be bad!!

Im making my p365 album using a different instant album plus for every 2 months so doing it in 6 separate books works well for me although I will probably use the same cover for all the books
