Tina has been asking me for a while to create a kit for a photo she had taken of Tate - it was obviously taken later in the afternoon - you know how the light has that golden glow in late summer in the late afternoon ( I love that sort of light) - so I finally sat down and tried to come up with something that she would like - trying hard not to make it too feminine - . I took the golden sky theme and then added some grey ( for the night sky that is coming soon after those golden rays set) - I made the sun and the frame and ribbons and then was a bit at a loss as to what else to add - I didnt want TOO many sun images in there - I found the butterfly image in a dover book ( the circular one) - in black and white and immediately thought it would look super in a stained glass look and once I had done that well I had to make a larger stained glass butterfly to match . I finished the kit up with the brad ( which actually matches the centre of the sun) and the small square frame - I really love this kit and I intend to use it for a layout about Hannahs hair - which is really like that late summer sunlight colour - (Its in the DSP store now http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3379- hope you like it Posted by Picasa

  1. Beautiful work Lauren, I love the butterflies. This kit really does make me think of summer evenings.
