LAYOUT: Kaka

Here’s my latest layout

I took this photo of a Kaka at the new aviary in the Auckland Zoo late last year. Its a new exhibit and although I didnt spot all the birds that are in it I had a great time photographing this Kaka who was showing off. I dont think Id ever seen a Kaka before so that was a treat.

This is a scraplift of Jill’s ( EG's) layout Cute Country Kids. With her permission I created a quick click from this design which is in the store now.
I will be running a gimme a copy challenge using Jills layout as an inspiration starting Saturday.
I used my Mountain Landscape VC for this layout.
Title is from my Black Sanded Chipboard Alphabet
Journalling reads:
The kaka; is a large parrot belonging to the nestorinae family, a group that includes the cheeky kea and the extinct Norfolk Island kaka;.
The birds are mainly diurnal but are active at night during fine weather or a full moon. Flocks of boisterous kaka; gather in the early morning and late evening to socialise - their amusing antics and raucous voice led the Maori to refer to them as chattering and gossiping.
